The Joys of Blogging

Okay, so I am not like other bloggers for the most part. I do realize that using sites like Blogger.com, and WordPress.com are a lot more simple and easier to get your content out, which is a good thing. ME personally though like to have a little more free reign when it comes to the customizations and little tricks you can pull by running your own blog.

I have tried out a few different blogging and CMS frameworks, and for me WordPress is the easiest to work with. I suppose you could say I am an old-school coder, I used to write out entire websites in a notebook, no, not Notepad, but an actual wire-bound notebook. Eventually, this became tedious with the advent of multiple graphics, java, flash, and the faster speeds.

Well my final( yea right, maybe for this year) domain purchase for the year is my new personal portfolio site (or so it is supposed to become). davdisaintchristianbump.info is now live. The site is pretty empty at the moment, as there is no content, and I am working on obtaining the plugins that will make my posting a lot easier for myself.

In the long run, I am hoping that these few blogs that I have out will generate a small income through Google's adsense, and various other affiliate connections. I am still building, repairing and fabricating computers, and entertainment systems, but these just are not enough these days. With the family issues, that are behind me, and always forthcoming, financial stability is a must.

I am assisting Kimberly and Andrew in finding a home to purchase, and it is a little easier than I believed it would be to be denied.. lol, no not yet. Credit is the main issue at hand.

Well tis time for my four hour daily nap. Peace and blessings to all.

Nielsen - National Consumer Panel - Homescan

Kimberly decided in her perusing of the internet last week to sign up for Nation Consumer Panel, and I believed it to be a good idea. Well, today we received the barcode scanner that we are to use.  It is an interesting little device. Interestingly enough it is an IP based device that in no way connects to a computer from what I can tell.
