Okay, so it has been well over a minute since I last made a post on this blog. I have had so many things going on in my life that it makes it hard for me to keep track of the different blogs and interests that I try to maintain.
I have been engaged, lied to to, stolen from, and lost the love that I thought I was going to spend the rest of my days with. This was not to be the case, yet again. Lost almost everything that I have worked for the last 10 years to gain. All my tools and computer shop equipment, all my personal mementos, all gone due to some one else's greedy nature and thinking that since I had nice stuff, but I didn't deserve to have the things I worked 74 hours a week, and putting up with tremendous amounts of stress and other people's BS, to maintain and keep in nice condition. But enough of that, I recently had to have back surgery, and am currently two weeks post-op.
I'm depressed, infuriated, and a few other emotions that I am unable to place names to. I am in the worst physical pain I have been in for many years. I had grown accustomed to the pains that I have been living with for the last 13 years plus. The numbness in my foot, and legs, the constant hip and groin pains. The weakness in my right leg, and managed to survive and work full time jobs, and some part time as the pain progressed. In 2009 these pains got to the point that I was unable to stay on my feet for long periods of time. In 2012, the numbness set in pretty good, and didn't let go.
Thanks to the new healthcare initiative in this country I was able to obtain (insurance, lol) state Medicaid through the state of Arkansas. I used this to get my hip and back checked out because the pain and numbness as made me pretty much unable to get any type of job that I have experience and knowledge doing. Two MRIs later, and I am informed that all these years of hip pains, I have mild arthritis in my hips, otherwise they are just great. However, the pain and numbness are due to a myriad of other factors all based on spinal damage. I have a few bulged discs throughout my spinal column, scoliosis, as well as rotoscoliosis, what the doctors are calling degenerative disc disease, and congenital spinal stenosis, spondylosis.
In two months time I went from no idea what's wrong, to having a decompressive laminectomy (remove of spinal material to relieve pressure on my spinal cord, and nerve bundles) with a L4-S1 lumbar fusion. I am currently unable to walk unassisted, have some of the worst SI joint pain I have ever had, my back feels weak and unstable (considering there are 6 screws and two rods), I would have thought otherwise. Due to state regulations, I was denied the prescribed pain medication (7.5/325 oxycodone/apap-Percocet) due to an error on the doctor's office paperwork (according to the denial paperwork). So I am dealing with the recovery on (7.5/325 hydrocodone/apap)Norco's. I have an updated script for hydro 10mg, not sure of the dosage of apap, but I am unable to get it filled right now with a cost of $57, since I can't get it covered by Medicaid, which only allows for 64 pill per month.
Well I am off, not sure when I will make another update, have more time for this sort of thing, just don't have the clearest head right now with the medications, and only being able to sit up for no more than an hour at a time. Peace, and blessings to you all.
